Filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) as Manila City Councilor candidate

I filed my Certificate of Candidacy for District 2 Manila Councilor in upcoming #Halalan2016.

At Comelec Office, Arrocerros Manila. Jules Delos Reyes para Konsehal.

If I will be elected as one of District 2 Manila councilors, I would like to pass ordinances like the following:

  • Creating a City Master Plan where projects and services will not be discontinued when new officials and a new administration takes over, provided they are proven to be beneficial to the citizens
  • Create housing (buildings) especially in Tondo area, so that we will not be branded as squatters, slums. (Inspired by Singapore's HDB)
  • Automated services and transactions in the Manila City Hall
  • Advanced technology by using upgraded equipment and special classes for public schools in Manila
  • Organized and safe traffic scheme for pedestrians and motorists (like clearing sidewalks, defining a no-parking zone, and creating bike lanes for the city)
  • Defining ordinances and guidelines for historical sites, buildings, and alike to protect and adjust to the city’s future developments, giving tax incentives to historical properties for mixed-use developments.
  • Comprehensive free health services, decent hospitals facilities for every Manilenyo especially for poor and Senior Citizens.
  • Intensive campaign for a cleaner Manila where vandalism and any other acts of defacement of city properties will be seriously sanctioned; including regulation of oversized billboards and outlined designation of placing ads in barangays. Trash to Cash program, a Recycling program for barangays.
